I have no information regarding his parent and ancestors. I have this idea the family is originally from Scandinavia at some point. He lived in Rostock, possibly a Theologian or some Political figure

I am still looking for parents of John A. Prentice, I believe the A is for Atwater, I think his mother must have been Atwater. Possibly from Boston or CT then to NY He lived and died in Ashtabula, OH. He was on the school board, Sheriff, Mayor there as well. Married Ameransa Hawes, she died 1852, then he married Ruby Thorn
